Da Vinci 1.0 Filament Holder/Cleaner

I recently had the need to switch between several filaments often. Although I already had a rack for the filament spools, I didn't have a way to pre-lace the filaments and hold them at the printer. I decided to create this cartridge to fit into the rectangular slot under the original filament grommet. It now holds the multiple filaments while cleaning them during prints. Instructions Simply print the part. I did mine at 0.2mm. Cut a piece of foam/sponge to fit the slot. I used melamine foam. It's the stuff that Mr Clean Magic Eraser is made of. I cut mine slightly bigger to have a snug fit. Cut slots 1/2 way down the side of the foam to let the filaments pass through. I have 5. The picture shows 3 filaments currently slotted. The white is currently being used. Tuck the foam/sponge into the slot, and slide the slot into the printer from the back, like the filament. The bezel will keep the cartridge from being pulled into the printer. ** If you find you need additional filament and/or foam/sponge support, the V2 version might work better. However, depending on your printer setup, you may need support to print this.
