This will not work with stock printer hardware/firmware, as there is no provision for the sensor board. Inspired by the design on the Prusa hotend mount, I designed this unit with similar lines. Print in ABS or similar. PLA is not recommended, due to the proximity to the hot-end. The pieces do not have to be too strong, so 0.25mm, 2 perimeters, 3 top and bottom layers, with 20% infill, is plenty. The unit will drop into the existing carriage, and is fixed by two screws. The rear fan is used to cool the part during printing, and unlike most designs, the duct is routed ingeniously inside the carriage, toward the part being cooled. The air stream has been adjusted so as to limit the cooling of the hot-end, but a silicon sock is recommended. Use Part C for a 40mm radial fan, or Part C2 for a 30mm axial fan. Unless your printer is good at bridging, use simple supports when printing these parts. If you intend to use a sensor mount (for auto bed levelling, etc), the carriage will need two holes drilling to accommodate. I have included the original cad design. Please ensure you credit me in any remixes.
