-> Daily Earring prologue: thingiverse.com/thing:7120 Next time someone keeps talking and talking, you can just smile at him and pretend he's helping you produce wind power. Yey! Instructions Orientation Printing it without breaking it is a bit difficult, at least if you want to have it rotate. Easiest is to print the medium version laying on it's rotor. I did print the small one as well but the axis-stop broke off, so I glued it with a drop of instant-glue. Printing them standing does produce a nicer texture, but even though the printed plastic runs along the length of the axis, it broke easier and was fused (other then expected as usualy the Z/height axis provides more detail). Settings On the PP3DP UP+, use .2mm, fine, 5mm raft density, 30° support angle, and spacing settings are somewhat arround 15mm^2 and 12 lines. Could probably be fine tuned a little. Cleaning Peel carefully, Gently loosen the rotor with a screwdriver or knife, twist back and forth, but if you notice the axis turns as well, it's still fused and could break off if you twist to harsh. The ring I turned the ring as my fiancée usualy puts the earrings onto the rings she allways wears, so if you want to put it on a silver earring hook, you might want to rotate it by 90°. Fine tuning I made the rotor a bit over-proportional to ensure it prints well at the little scale. It could still be modified without risking breaking it (if the thickness is mentained)
