Dainishi Nyorai, the universal Buddha 大日如來 this very old model had suffered of the destruction of the buddhist temples by the Kokka Shintō國家神道 (State Shintō of Meiji) this destruction is known in japan as: Haibutsu kishaku 廃仏毀釈, part of the shinbutsu bunri 神仏分離. the parts destroy are always same: the face, the crown, and the mudra.
