To solve a wildly out-of-order linen closet my wife and I recently installed a [Dakota Closet from menards](https://www.menards.com/main/find.html?find=Dakota+Closets.%2CDakota+Closets.&sortby=priceDesc&brandName_facet=Dakota+Closets&skipKeywordInCategory=true). Needing to cut them down I realized the shelves attach using a [cam system](https://www.menards.com/main/storage-organization/closet-organizers/wooden-closet-shelving/dakota-closets-trade-cam-lock-connectors-8-pack/450-80-201/p-1450446290651-c-12644.htm?tid=-1271031165558960126&ipos=37&exp=true). Since my beautiful wife wanted a shelf "every few inches" I needed a reliable, fast way to mark the holes for these cams. A 13/16" forstner bit makes a useable hole, however it's a bit looser than the factory 20mm hole.
