<p>This is a reproduction of "The Dana Set of Wooden Crystal Models" originally produced by Dr. Krantz Rheinisches Mineralien-Kontor (Bonn).</p><p><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/128317-dana-crystal-models-triclinic">triclinic</a><br><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/127192-dana-crystal-models-monoclinic">monoclinic</a><br><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/125511-dana-crystal-models-orthorhombic">orthorhombic</a><br><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/137118-dana-crystal-models-hexagonaltrigonal">hexagonal/trigonal</a><br><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/134076-dana-crystal-models-tetragonal">tetragonal</a><br><a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/144630-dana-crystal-models-cubic">cubic</a></p><p>I recreated the models based on reference images in "Dana's Textbook of Mineralogy" (<a href="https://archive.org/details/DanasTextbookOfMineralogy">https://archive.org/details/DanasTextbookOfMineralogy</a>), with forms taken from the catalogue available here (provided by the company): <a href="https://mineralogy.eu/models/Krantz/Krantz_31_3.pdf">https://mineralogy.eu/models/Krantz/Krantz_31_3.pdf</a></p><p>Whenever a model corresponds to a crystal structure, the known unit cell constants were used. In all other cases I approximated to match the pictures in Dana's book. Please note that I do not have an original set to compare, so there might be small differences. Also the scaling is arbitrary and probably totally different.</p><p>There's a labelled (by catalogue number) and unlabelled version. I also include the OpenScad file I used for embossing, in case somebody wants to adjust the labels.</p><p>Changes I made to correct apparent errors in the catalogue (to match Dana's book):</p><p>No. 103: {1 0 -1 0} changed to {1 0 -1 1}</p><p>No. 138: {2 1 -3 1} changed to {3 -1 -2 1}</p><p>No. 145: {2 7 -9 9} changed to {-2 -7 9 9}</p><p>Big Thanks to Prof. Gervais Chapuis for making me aware of this set's existence and sending me his catalogue!</p><h3>Print Settings</h3><p><strong>Printer:</strong></p><p>BIQU B1</p><p><strong>Rafts:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>No</p><p><strong>Supports:</strong></p><p>Yes</p><p><strong>Resolution:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>0.2mm</p><p><strong>Infill:</strong></p><p>10%</p><p><strong>Filament:</strong></p><p>3DJake PLA</p><p>light blue</p><p><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Notes:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Some of the models require supports.
