Ian at Dangerous Prototypes makes some really amazing products and does so in a standardised footprint size. http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Sick_of_Beige_standard_PCB_sizes_v1.0 The groovy guys at seeed produce the products as well as "Sick of Beige" cases. They're available Seeed http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/sick-of-beige-basic-case-v1-dp5031-p-1269.html?cPath=178_184 and are also under a CC BY-SA license. We're looking to cut our own and reproduced the vectors for our laser cutter with the dimensions as specified. I thought the file would be a useful share! Instructions To make these cases you'll want to pick the appropriate size and cut out two of the shapes. Track down some pillars and put together. Also check out the appropriate DangerousPrototypes.com product page and add the cut outs necessary for your product.
