Dante Alighieri famous and mostly known for his “Divina Commedia”, was a poet, philosopher, political thinker and prose writer. At the young age of only 9 years old, he met for the first time Beatrice. Beatrice, daughter of Folco Portinari, strongly marked Dante Alighieri throughout his life and in his literary work. Beatrice is said to be the real inspiration of Dante, the single source of creativity for the poet.  This passion and love for the woman, brought him into the idealization of Beatrice's figure in most of his works. She is always depicted as representing Dante’s spiritual love, a pure love.
