Azurite is typically found as tabular to prismatic crystals of a deep azure blue color with splendent vitreous faces. Azurite is often pseudomorphed (1) to Malachite, and the two are very frequently found together. (1) Pseudomorph - is a mineral formed by chemical or structural change of another substance, though retaining its original external shape.
