"The Crystal calls..." I've been wanting one of these since I first saw the movie, way back when on video. I used one of the crystals here for a starting point: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:142873 and was able to isolate and stretch it to get something approximating the shard from the movie: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/1/19/TheDarkCrystal-ShardGlow.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150806203553 While not fully accurate, I think it’s enough of a placeholder that im not sure i’ll need to redo it. I am planning on drilling a small hole, however, so that i can put a small glowstick inside to make it light up! Printed in translucent amythyst pla, 2 perimeters with no infill and minimal support. I paired it with a logo coaster found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1018123 While I am happy to share the things I design here for people to print for their personal collections, please do not make them to sell.
