Dark Scythe from Monster Hunter

After I got a 3D printer, I had thought about doing a big project. Since I love halloween and Monster Hunter there is nothing better project than making the most awesome looking weapon in the game. I spent almost 5 hours in blender to model this, and around 2 weeks to 3D print it and assemble it. The only thing that is not 3D printed is the stick i used as handle. I got this from my neighbour. Post-Printing I glued all the pieces with epoxy. This is very hard and strong glue that holds the pieces together pretty good. There was a piece that the support fell of. This piece was fixed using a gluegun. It is not very visible after i painted it. I painted the model with metalic grey spraypaint and then painted the rest of the details with acrylic paint. I also filled in some parts where it was a scale difference (like between the printed shaft attachment part and the wood shaft) with some filler to make it look and work better. How I Designed This I modeled the whole thing from the bottom in Blender. First I modeled the base mesh and then sculpted the details using a tablet. When i was satisfied with the result, I sliced it in pieces with blenders boolean modifier and a cube. I made the hole in the shaft part after i knew the diameter of the shaft. If you are going to print this yourself, you may change the diameter using a modeling software. There are some parts i uploaded as a whole part and as two splitted parts. these are marked _1 and _2 for the splitted parts. The reason are the printvolume of my printer.
