Shortly after publishing, I had some ideas on how to resolve some design flaws that ended up with me making a v2, which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4227671 This test strip maker will still work just fine if you want to print it, but the v2 has several advantages: * No need for screws or complicated assembly * Keeps your paper in the same focal plane as your final print will be, so you no longer need to re-focus between making test strips and making your print * Uses magnets to anchor itself securely to any metal easel, reducing the risk of moving it between exposures * Built-in tolerances, so unless your printer is REALLY off, everything should fit nicely * Less material cost and shorter print times Original summary: This device allows you to easily and consistently print the same area of a negative onto a 4x5" test strip 5 times, in 1" sections (rather than the traditional approach of uncovering different parts of the strip and having each exposure strip come from a different part of the projected image). This should allow for better judgments of proper exposure. Note that small scaling adjustments in the X, Y, and/or Z axes are probably okay to help dial in tolerances for your specific printer, but if you go too far, you're going to have oval-shaped pilot holes and countersink screws.
