Dash Mounted iPhone Holder

Dash Mounted iPhone Holder

thingiverse

This is the latest version of the phone holder for my Land Rover Defender. I replaced the ashtray in the centre of the dash with this holder that I designed for an iPhone 4 in a HEX wallet. The holder has a slot in the base for a USB / iPhone connector which plugs into a rear USB slot in the stereo. This set up gives you access to all of your iPhone music, apps (sat-nav etc.), hands free calls on the move (using the wired microphone which came with the stereo) and it also charges the phone, all without removing it from the wallet! Instructions Print using high resolution settings and 50% fill. I painted mine matt grey to match the buttons on the centre console. Feed a USB connector through the slot in the base and glue the iPhone connector in position, ensuring it is the correct way round. Remove the plastic ashtray from the centre of the dash and push the USB connector down into the wiring compartment behind the stereo. Glue the phone holder in position. Connect up you stereo as per the instructions and away you go!
