I've been working on making new emblems for my truck. I abhor the slanted style letters the truck came with. It looks like Nissan just phoned it in.

These are still in the testing phase for how long they'll hold up to the outdoors, but fit and finish looks spot on, if I do say so myself. The PLA and unsurprisingly warped after a few months, so clearly something like ASA or PETG would be better in the long run.

This print is kind of in-depth, so PLEASE feel free to ask for assistance if you need it.

Materials needed:

M3 stainless steel flat head machine screws (x2)

one of those cone shaped nozzles without the hex end low on the bottom

love

an appreciation for aesthetic appeal

Print instructions

This would be perfect for the MMU. I'm sure you can do it on a Prusa with some fancy slicer work. I printed this on an Ender 5 Plus.

Print the gaskets with TPU or some other flexible material, upside down, so you get the curvature of the fender. I found I was able to print at .12 resolution, but it wasn't super pretty. Though, who cares, since that side faces the fender?

Print the backings off center (forward or backward on the bed), so you can still probe the bed for the home. After doing the backing, print the furthest right piece of the emblem, and start your way left, so when your nozzle moves to print the next color, it won't hit already printed items.

Make sure to install the Z Offset plugin if you're using Cura, so you can set the beginning heights for everything after the backing, to 3mm.
