DaVinci 1.0 Rear Spool Hanger

DaVinci 1.0 Rear Spool Hanger

thingiverse

This spool hanger clips onto the rear underneath the lid flap, there is no need for cutting or adjustments on your DaVinci. It fits a large spool width, 65mm. This is based on another hanger and cable guide, credits below. Both still caused the filament to pinch when you open the lid. Changing the angle of entry now causes no pinch. The thickened vertical bar adds rigidity and and drops the width. Instructions It should be printed on it's side, rotate Y 90deg, and fits in the DaVinci well when rotated 30deg on Z. No need for supports. Printed at 0.2mm layer height on a DaVinci 1.0 with Repetier Firmware and took about 2h:30m You might need to clean up the filament guide a bit with a drill although it might be just right. To install, hold in upright in position, pull the lid gap at the back open a bit and wiggle the holder underneath the lip, push it all the way through and then angling the holder upwards, pushing the vetical bar through too. Now open the flap and align the holder clip as shown in the photo, lock it in place and close the lid. Hang the spooler as shown, so it unwinds correctly, and feed the filament through the guide under the flap. (must unspool clockwise when looking at the back of the printer)
