DaVinci's anemometer drawing was created as a way to measure wind speed based on how high up the hanging pin blew upwards along the curved piece which has incremental slits giving the observer a way to quantify how hard the wind is blowing. I designed this model specially to be ideal for 3D printing, the model requires no assembly post printing because the two parts are built into the model. After the print is complete and put into the dissolving vat, the support material surrounding the hanging pin will be dissolved out creating a free moving pin built into the model. The model was also designed to require minimal support material so the width of the entire model is one inch, making it so the printer doesn't have to lay down layers of support material to built parts of the model that aren't laying on the same plane. I have included the dimension's of this model in a PDF file as well as the IPT and STL file for the model for anyone who want's to download it. There is also a picture of the CADD interface to prove it's a single part as well as screen shot of the model in a 3D printer software window to show how the model would be oriented to require the least amount of support material during printing.
