Tool / Aid that eases the installation of recoil springs on the Dawson Precision Tool-Less Guide Rod. While this guide rod makes takedown of the 1911 faster and easier, changing springs can be a challenge. After launching my spring plug 30 feet down range during initial session of spring tuning, I decided this tool was needed. I've revised the external shape since taking the pictures to make alignment more intuitive. Simply match the shape of the tool to the shape of the guide rod base. The notch in the center allows the spring catch to pass through while extended.
