I designed this so I could have a special high-current outlet in my car. The wiring to this outlet should be less than 10 feet of 8 gauge stranded copper wire with a 40 amp fuse. Please note that electricity can be dangerous and I should not be held responsible for any incidents. Use at your own risk. You will need brass or copper sheet and/or tubing to complete this. I would say that 1/32 of an inch to 1/16 of an inch would be the correct size for the walls and some 8- to 4-gauge solid copper wire soldered to a sheet for the right angle connector or connected to a brass tube for the straight connecter should work well, especially if you round the tip of the wire a bit with sandpaper. You may be able to crimp the sheet with a pliers and the tube with a crimping tool, but you can also solder it if you prefer, just be aware that solder doesn't conduct electricity as well, so to prevent heating the copper should be close enough to be in physical contact before soldering. You may want to have a caliper on hand to get the proper measurements for the metal parts after you print it out. The dimensions should allow a normal low-current car plug to fit inside it. I was also thinking about adding a twist lock capability to it as the large currents may cause serious arcing at the connector when removed during use. Applying dielectric grease to the metal surfaces may help prevent arcing also.
