DC-motor RS-550 with mount

For some mechanical experiments I needed a DC-motor mount. For checking the dimensions first before printing one of the exisiting mounts I made this simple 3D model of common Mabuchi RS-550SH DC-motors. They do exist in many confiurations regarding the electrical specs and the mechanical power provided on the shaft. The biggest outer diameter is 37.2mm. If you fear wasting filament, time, effort - DO NOT print The files: -the simple motor 3D model -the motor mount front plate (now 5.4mm thickness, better fit on y-axis where it hits the baseplate), sadly much filing requiered still -the motor mount base plate. For easy printing the mount consists of two parts. To achieve a good strength they should be screwed AND glued together eventually. A possible weak point could be the junction of the mount screw lugs on the base plate. Time will tell. . Screw the front plate together with the faceplate of the motor using the screws provided with the motor. The parts should be screwed together. 2 screws and nuts M3 or similar imperial sized required. Guys in the US, I do not care much. Use metrical sized stuff! At the end of the baseplate is a support. It has a lip that could be cut off to give room for rubber mate if needed. The holes at the end are intended for feeding zip ties trough if needed. . If you happen to see the the parts do not fit perfectly, take a sharp knife or a file. I'm trough with designing, the files will not be modified soon. Have to start experimenting first. The front plate shows the terrible bad print quality of the Cetus 3D, cause: the UP! slicer. This is the underside of a part printed with raft. Strange enough, the top layer of the raft looks pretty good. Tiertieme Idiots, F*** Jason Wu.
