I wanted a means to measure real time readings for voltage, current and power. My past solution was to work with two multimeters, one for voltage and one for current and just calculate the power reading. Using my multimeters this way tied them up from other uses. Since I like to measure voltage and current often, I decided to build a general purpose metering set-up.

The DC 100V 10A 1000W Digital Voltmeter Ammeter Wattmeter provided much of metering solution. This project takes that module and incorporates it into a case with connected and a power source. I've incorporated the watt meter module without its included surrounding bezel. The bezel just clips on, so can be easily removed.

The metering unit is powered by a LiPo battery and includes a battery charging circuit, as well. The battery is charged by a mounted USB Type C connector. The USB connection allows the unit to also be externally powered, too.

The DC Watt Meter module is readily available for purchase. I purchased my module from AliExpress for less than AU$13 from here:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000111105839.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.d5a72e0eQ5IA0d

Here is my 3D design. My design may match your needs, too.

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm Aurarum silver filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.

I hope you can find this design useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
