I just measured my iPhone together with its case and made a small holder to mount it on a GorillaPod tripod for timelapse recording. Use a 1/4" nut in the middle for the proper tripod mount thread. Update: I just made a cut on the right side to the headphone port (you can use Volume + button on the headphone wire as a shutter button). https://www.youmagine.com/designs/dead-simple-iphone-5-tripod-mount Instructions I printed it with 0.1mm layer height, 20% infill.
