Deadlift Jack

Deadlift Jack

myminifactory

This item is intended to be used as a deadlift or olympic lifting jack to easily strip and reload weight onto the bar. This allows for simple loading when by yourself, allowing you to not have to lift the bar with one hand, as you struggle with removing the weight on the other side.  Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/oFvzGzFYfpc It has been tested up to 6 plates, which is 270 lbs on one side. The jack is able to lift it, but has a possible stability issue with this high of weight. In the cover photo, it can easily handle 4 plates without any stabilization issues. A possible piece that could be printed would be to connect to one of the handle holes providing stability if going to very high weights. This jack can be printed on a 210mm print bed as it is an assembly of 5 different components, which can be press fitted together, as well as eppoxied if desired.  The cost of this print is about 1/2 a spool of filament or just over 500 grams, which equates to about 10 dollars. This equates to the entire print being just over 1 pound, where as the metal one is just over 8 pounds, thus making it more applicable to be carried in a gym bag. The cost to print this is just about $10 worth of filament and can be printed in a 2-5 day window, depending on how fast your printer is capable of. This is a cost savings of $32 as compared to the metal version seen in the photos. Idea partly inspired from a single part design from Cults. user THE3DCODER, https://cults3d.com/en/users/the3dcoder/creations. I did not use his stl file and this is a product of my own work.
