This bracket attaches to the bottom of a planter box and secures it over a deck's top rail with confidence. Engineered specifically for a 2 x 4 top rail, it provides a sturdy fit (actual dimensions: 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches wide). Equipped with a drain and drip spout, this bracket allows excess water to flow freely. Two versions are available - one featuring a screw hole to fasten securely to the top rail, and another without. Designed for use with 1/4-20 bolts and hex nuts, its metric equivalent is M6-1 and hex nut. The optimal screw length depends on the thickness of the planter box; when mounting my own boxes, I found 3/4 inch screws to be effective. The rail fastener hole accommodates a #8 deck screw with ease.
