Decora light switch extension

Decora light switch extension

thingiverse

I have two light switches in my house that are hard to reach because they are behind furniture. The light switches in my house are the flat "Decora" style, so I could not use @Bingbingaling's extender for the "toggle" style. So I designed a new thing that works for me. This is a single piece print that has 2 captive moving parts. There is 0.2 mm of gap so that the sliding parts will not escape the 45 degree walled slot which contains them. My printer has a 150mm square bed and this design will just fit within that square when angled 45 degrees. see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_84355Am7U You'll need two 3/4" long flathead 6-32 screws to mount this. If you have a larger print bed you may want to remix this and extend the handle. If you mount a longer one upside down then you can use it for young kids to reach the switch.
