Decorative ring - Extreme re-design

This is no ordinary ring and creating it wasn't as easy as the amazing aesthetics would suggest. This was created using tools such as surface modelling, sketch wrapping and revolves and extrusions. My ring was modelled in SolidWorks 2018 and rendered to real life in Keyshot 7.My model can be 3D printed as shown in the screen shots from the Proto Labs website. I had selected the SLS method of printing and the material I chose was metal plated SLS plastic. Although my design is very intricate I think most high-end 3D printers should give me the degree of accuracy I am looking for to make my ring look spectacular.I am eligible to enter for this competition because I am currently studying the 'Professional Interior Design' course with the British College of Interior Design.The design of my ring is based on the theme of relationships as this is where rings are usually used. Firstly the edges of the ring are all smoothed to make the ring comfortable to wear. The design I projected onto the front of the ring also has some subtle meaning. The thin curling lines represent elegance but also entanglement and entwining of love. If you notice also the pattern is symmetrical across the middle. I have also incorporated 4 love-hearts; one within the centre of each pattern representing the heart of the two participants in the relationship. The hearts between the patterns represent love flowing between the two.
