Deer head Hearts Display Holder
thingiverse
This display holder was designed to showcase a deer necklace found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1952554. The design was scaled down to 80% and modified to include a nameplate. Mounting holes must be drilled for assembly with 3mm bolts printed and added here. Additionally, two holes were drilled in the bottom and two 1/4" brass rods, 8mm long, were installed to provide weight to the base. The upright arms are designed to bend inward to hold the deer head, but they can be left straight if preferred. All components were printed with excellent results at 50% infill, 2 shells, and a layer height of .2mm, using normal print speed. The bolts were printed on a raft with 90% infill, .1mm layer height, and slow print speed. The bolts are longer than necessary to accommodate gluing in place. The display can be left plain or customized with personalized names. I received positive feedback from my wife when I printed this as a gift for her, earning me some much-needed "man points."
