Glasses are apparent in roughly half of society’s population; this simple necessity is disrupted by the fact that glasses constantly fog up. Foggy glasses are a result of water vapor condensing on the glass due to the temperature on the two sides being different. This effect also occurs on car windows during the cold and rainy months. The lines across the rear windows are defrosters that dissipate the condensation immediately. With this technology I lined the rims of the frames with the grid lines to defog your glasses when you are in the rain or eating a hot bowl of soup. A tiny battery hidden in the frame of the glasses will be the glasses source of power: the wires are threaded through the frames to reach both lenses. A plate will be on the side of the frames to be able to turn them on and off. Frosty Frames, made out of ABS plastic, will be beneficial to those that endure foggy glasses with a sleek design to go along with daily apparel, concealing the defogging system. These glasses eliminate the need to remove and wipe down your lens all the time, creating fingerprints in the process. By phasing out the problem of having to removing your glasses, people that cannot necessary remove or have a hard time doing simple motor skills will have the job be done for them with Frosty Frames.Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, Instructor Michael Robichaud
