I had been using the Filament dryer mod for food dehydrator for quite a while now, but recently started to augment my Eva-dry renewable dehumidifier with these In Spool Desiccant Containers.

This introduced the need to renew the desiccant and I quickly stumbled across @miker33 Dessicant Drying Tray. I liked the use of the Slicer settings to create the "screen" effect on the bottom. Unfortunately, this was not the right dimensions for my larger dehumidifier so this remix was born.

**This version supports all of the same hardware referenced in @jbanion Filament dryer mod for food dehydrator

I have included the OpenSCAD file and enabled Customizer so that you can adjust to any other set of dimensions. By default the following parameters were used.

ECHO: "======> Tray Diameter: 308"
ECHO: "======> Tray Wall Height: 23"
ECHO: "======> Hole Diameter: 68"
ECHO: "======> Wall Width: 2.5"
ECHO: "======> Floor Depth: 3"

All of the code/files are contained within GitHub - desiccant_tray

I would recommend either pulling via git:

git clone https://github.com/jshessen/SpringFactory.git

or downloading the repo as a zip file:

https://github.com/jshessen/SpringFactory --> Code --> Download as Zip

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Accessories Summary

Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3 MMU 2

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2

Infill: 15%, 35%

Filament: Inland PETG Translucent Magenta
Notes:

Really should use PETG given that the desiccant tends to dry in the 149F/65C range a bit warm for PLA.

PrintDry
Prusa Forums

How I Designed This

PrusaSlicer Settings

PrusaSlicer Settings

Modifier Box:
Layers and Perimeters:

Top=0

Bottom =0
Infill:

Fill density=35% (this comes out to holes @ ~ 1.6mm)

Fill pattern=Rectilinear
