Got a new laptop and dock and I didn't want the laptop itself sitting on the desk. This was modeled specifically for the contours of a Dell Precision 5560, but I think it will likely fit most "curvy" (opposed to boxy) 2 cm thick or less laptops. The way it is designed, it leaves all intake and exhaust vents completely uncovered for optimal performance. There is space for four 4mm hex nuts, I used it together with four 4mm x 10mm bolts. Depending on the calibration of your printer, you might find the cutouts for the hex nuts to be a bit tight. This is okay and they should "press-fit" in. Instead of pressing it in, you can use a longer 4mm bolt and pull it in as you tighten it, then swap back, to a 10mm bolt after it's pulled in so it doesn't stick into the cutout made for the laptop.
