The stand is designed to raise the laptop without interfering with the USB ports and fingerprint scanner. The edge fits between the body and the screen to prevent the stand from slipping out. In the centre of the gap there is not fan outlets, so this doesn’t negatively affect the cooling performance. This stand is design for Dell XPS 13 9370. It may work with XPS15 models but has not been tested.
