Located on Derby Wharf, Salem (MA), this historical lighthouse is within the Salem Maritime National Historic Site Built in 1871, the white square brick tower, originally painted red, hold a fifth-order Fresnel lens showing a fixed red light 7,6m above mean high water. The model was designed using pictures and detailed drawing of the actual building in scale 1/160 (N scale). You can resize it using your favourite software before print, however, if you do so, some of the parts may lose stability or look over scaled. Model has 6 different pieces that you need to assembly as any other model kit: I attached an instruction booklet together with the downloaded files. Printing, painting and weathering will give a lot of fun. This model can be a great addition to your layout or diorama. Happy modelling!
