Desiccant Container

Desiccant Container

thingiverse

This is one of my first Things! I was looking for a desiccant container that would fit into the center of my PLA spools, but could not find. So, I made one and learned some Sketchup in the process. I think it goes without saying that you would need to also store your spools in airtight containers for this to be of any use. I added lots of repeating cutout text. Please excuse the odd letters, they just seemed to be a good choice for something that wouldn't let the silica gel beads through; also my name starts with G. I've printed this several times, one for each new color of PLA that I have. The first iteration didn't have any room for error on the lid portion and the lids would not stick or stick too well sometimes so this model gives an extra .25mm for each gripping side of the snap-on lid. If your printer prints things perfectly, you may need to scale the cap accordingly. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 2015 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 30% Notes: These are just the settings that I use. If you change the text to something that you really want to be able to read, you may have better luck if you print at .1mm resolution. Post-Printing
