A simple handle designed for 3D printing for a 14 gauge aluminum wire electric horse fence line. Simply run the wire through the center of the handle, wrap wire around the rear loop and then tie the line to the loop. I recommend using a spring maker such as this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1096880 to craft your wire into a spring before you attach it to the loop to help keep the tension in the wire on your gate. The wire should then fit inside the little groove in the front hook and make a solid connection through your handle for a quick and easy 3D printed solution. For additional weather resistance, I recommend covering with a durable outdoor paint. Plastic degrades overtime in the sun and the paint helps deflect or absorb that radiation so it does less damage to the plastic. I recommend during the printing process to print it with the loop on the bed, use rafts and support material to keep it in place. A bit of a challenging print, but that way you get the hole running down the center without any supports clogging it up. If someone finds a good support system that uses branching support material with a good wide raft. Please send me the upgraded .stl with the supports so future people will not have to devise ways of figuring this out. From the design software this should be about 85 grams of ABS, or 101 grams of PLA excluding supports for those interested in calculating costs. By now those of you who pay attention to my work maybe wondering why everything I do is bright yellow, and there is a reason for this beyond I simply think it looks good. It turns out from research: https://www.horsetalk.co.nz/2012/11/21/vision-horses-more-than-meets-the-eye/ That horses are dichromats, this means that objects with the wavelengths of light we perceive as red are simply not detected, but bright yellows are quite easy for them to see. Thus it makes it easier for the horse to see your brightly colored object in this fashion. Secondly, every piece of horse equipment ever created is one day going to find itself lost in the middle of an open field and buried in grass, dirt and mud. The use of yellow on equipment makes it quite a bit easier to find where it has gotten off to.
