This is a very simple spacer to give your 2 gang outlet cover some additional standoff from a wall. I use this in conjunction with my TP-Link Kasa smart switches. They use a plastic housing which is thicker than most other outlets or switches. This causes multi-switch wall plates to warp and bend. Using this spacer lets the wall plate sit evenly against the wall while accommodating the additional thickness of the smart switch.
