Desk Clamp for Articulating Desk Lamps (V2!)

Desk Clamp for Articulating Desk Lamps (V2!)

I bought a brand-new articulating desk lamp at a garage sale for $2, minus a base, and needed a way to fasten it to my desk so that I could use it. This clamp will work with lamps with a base-shaft size of ~12-13mm, and with desks less than 4-5cm thickness, depending on the fastening method. It was designed with a nut trap for a 1/4"-20 nut, and for a 1/4"-20 bolt or threaded rod. I used a cap-head bolt and a 1/4"-20 knob I had laying around, but a knob for this could be printed quite easily. EDIT: Updated files to V2. V2 includes a base that interlocks with the body of the clamp, and was designed for increased stability. V2 also includes knobs and pads (placed at the end of the bolt so that it won't bite into the bottom of the desk) for 1/4"-20 hex and cap-head bolts (a bolt between 1.5" and 2" is recommended). EDIT: I printed V2 and uploaded photos. I works! The newly added interlocking base and screw pad eliminated all of the wobble not attributable to the lamp itself, and the pieces fit together well with very minimal trimming. Enjoy! Tips, while never expected, are always appreciated. Thanks! Instructions Plenty sturdy when printed at 20% (honeycomb) infill, but print at higher density if you plan on hitting it with a hammer (?). The nut traps are tight fitting, so you might need to heat them a bit with a lighter to press the nuts into place.
