Laptop stand designed for a 18.5cm thick desk and virtually any size laptop, yet still printable on a 230cm bed. Mounts with two screws on underside of desk.

I sleeved this with cut road bicycle inner tubes over the upper mount forks to grip the laptop. Some sort of friction tape or similar is necessary for this design.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.24

Infill:

100%

Filament: Hatchbox ABS Black

Notes:

This design is bearing a lot of load with relatively little material so make it 100% solid.
I printed the top in 3d Solutech PLA and the bottom with the somewhat finicky [Hatchbox](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hatchbox&linkCode=ll2&tag=thingiverse09-20&linkId=f798b0df863f056fa470f03a65697ff4&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) ABS. I think it will work well with any material with good layer bonding.
I used 3 walls/shells. This caused it to tie the inner and outer walls in with infill which seems to strengthen it more.

The base needs support everywhere, but it should be very low (5%) density to easily crush for removal because it wraps around.

Post-Printing

Final steps

Bicycle inner tubes make a good grip, but so might other materials.

Two lath screws attach it under the desk.

Optional bolt through the hole helps secure the two pieces together.

Category: Computer
