This is the age of computers and today the conventional machining processes are also controlled by the computer and computer programs. In this project, we will firstly study the technologies of CNC and lathe machines and then proceed towards the design of the desktop CNC Lathe machine. We will also study the electronics and programming involved in the CNC process and will subsequently develop an electronic schema for the designed Desktop CNC Lathe Machine. We will also study the various software’s involved in the CNC process and select the software’s suitable with the desktop CNC lathe that we have designed. We will also validate our design by kinematic simulation using Solidworks CAD software.
