<p>I experimented with many wall thicknesses, angles and radii, until I found the optimal design for modern smartphones. The design features ribs on the surfaces which come in contact with the desktop and the smartphone. These create strength and the ability to add self-adhesive anti-slip silicone strips. The strips are optional, but do improve the function in everyday use.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>Files and Hardware:</strong></h3><p>One support structure is built-in; simply remove it with a pair of pliers or a utility knife. This small part is a very helpful cutting aid, especially if you are producing multiple holders.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>Printing:</strong></h3><p>All parts print great with the standard Prusa Slicer “0.20 mm QUALITY” profile settings and no supports! I used a 0.6 mm nozzle, but any other size will be fine. You may need more perimeters if you are using a smaller nozzle. An optimal seam (shown in an attached picture) is already added to in the .3mf file. I recommend adding it, if you are starting from a new slicing file- as this reduces time and eliminates stringing. As the profile is only 3mm thick, I also recommend applying a thin layer of glue stick to the print bed, I have achieved consistently good results this way.</p><p><strong>Nozzle:</strong> 0.6 mm</p><p><strong>Layer Height:</strong> 0.2 mm</p><p><strong>Supports:</strong> None</p><p><strong>Perimeters: </strong>4 (or as many as it takes to fill the part- there shouldn't be any infill)</p><p><strong>Infill:</strong> 0%</p>
