Detonator Switch

Detonator Switch

This detonator switch is something Wylie Coyote would be eager to get his hands on. It can be used to activate most anything requiring a momentary switch, such as model rocket launches, sound effects, or traps designed to ensnare a pesky road runner. The detonator switch consists of a plunger handle that, when pushed down, activates a microswitch within the base. The base also contains two integrated AA battery holders that can be used to supply power to an external circuit via the microswitch. The integrated battery holders are a remix from enif's Flexing AA battery holder with integrated spring - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:456900 (thanks again enif for a wonderful design!). The changes I made to enif's design for this application include raising the height of the "box" so that the top of the battery holder is flush with the battery. The detonator switch box is designed to look like it was constructed of wooden planks. There are now three designs of the box available; a plain top, one with the word "BOOM!" recessed in the front, and one for my Bug B Gone design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1449658). Feel free to remix the plain top with any message/graphic you like. The attached PDF includes all the information needed to construct the detonator switch, including print settings I used. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.300mm layers Infill: 40% Notes: Reference attached PDF for information on recommended print settings including support locations. I used MakerGear PLA plastics at 220C extruder temp and 70C bed temp.
