DEVELOP3D HTC Controller Mount

DEVELOP3D HTC Controller Mount

This was developed to help with our VR experiments with the HTC Vive. It solves the issue of having the controllers sitting on the floor. It's designed to mount around a 24mm tripod post. All done using Fusion 360 (the Vive controller model can be found in the setup files as an OBJ).You'll need to print the Controller Mount and Rear Mount parts (STLs included), source four M5 brass inserts (these are inserted into the 3D printed part with a soldering iron - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01IYJP8UU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a couple of M4 thumb screws (those from a GoPro are ideal, but there's plenty of choice). If you want to adapt the mount to fit a different diameter post, then the STEP files are available to edit as you see fit. We built the parts using a Markforged Mark Two with Onyx chopped fibre material.
