DeWalt 18V XRP Battery Holder

DeWalt 18V XRP Battery Holder

While many folks now have the newer DeWalt 20V MAX batteries, many of us still have the last generation XRP 18V based tools and it would be handy to mount them somewhere. So I created this XRP holder. Originally I had a much tighter fit into the socket but that ended up making it very hard to remove. There is a hole in the bottom both to eliminate suction and to allow the inevitable dust that build up in a shop to fall through. The battery does not lock like the 20V ones do (since the lock for the battery is at the large diameter part, and that would make this part very wide (so you can't hang the batteries, maybe next generation) Anyway, at least here on earth the gravity is sufficient to hold the battery in, and if you're using it on another low-g planet you probably have a budget to buy the 20V tools! Anyway I printed this in PLA, I'm sure it would be tougher in some other plastic, but I don't plan on abusing it. PETG or ABS is likely a better choice. It mounts via 2 sheetrock screws (the holes are US #10 sized) I (as always) have included the STEP file for those who want to remix.
