Dewalt 611 Splatter Skirt Air Diffuser Submerged Carbon Fiber CNC

If you own an X Carve CNC or any other CNC that uses the Dewalt 611 router for its spindle, this simple 3D printed attachment will save you a ton of cleanup and suffering when cutting carbon fiber submerged in water. Since carbon fiber dust is extremely toxic, it is necessary to cut it underwater for dust control and proper cooling. However, the Dewalt 611 spindle inconveniently blows air downward when running resulting in water getting thrown all over the room. This simple 3D printed attachment screws onto the bottom of the Dewalt 611 and redirects the downward airflow off to the sides to prevent it from disturbing the water around your bit. Also, even bits without an up cut can fling water upward and into the router which this attachment prevents by creating a small "skirt" around the base of the router controlling the splatter.
