If you remove the lower part of the dewalt dw660, the circle piece fits on the end to keep dust out. If you want to have a place to mount infrared LED emitter and detector to measure rotation speed from reflection off of collet nut, there is a file included for that too. You would use one or the other not both. I used a glue gun to hold the led's in place. I used a piece of aluminum duct tape on one face of the collet nut. I painted the other sides of the collet nut black with acrylic paint. I attached a drawing of the circuit I used. Instead of the Arduino you can hook up that lead to a voltmeter while you get the led positioned, for me it reads close to 5V without IR light and about 0.2V with IR light (hold up piece of aluminum tape as reflector). Here is where I ordered my leds: https://www.amazon.com/Gikfun-Infrared-Emitter-Receiver-Arduino/dp/B01HGIQ8NG/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_bs_lp_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3050Q44NS6467GYR1T1N
