Dewalt Grinder Guard - 4.5” and 6”

These are designs of the stock Dewalt angle grinder safety guards. There is a 4.5" (115mm) and a 6" (153mm) version. The test fit pieces include only collet. This is a quick way to test if the safety guard will fit your grinder. The reinforced versions are thicker (4mm instead of 2mm). The 6" version has an extra locating tab, designed to prevent it being used on a 4.5" grinder. I built this for a Dewalt DCG414. It should fit most other Dewalt angle grinders. ### Safety Notice A plastic guard is not as safe as a metal guard. A broken grinding wheel will slice through plastic guards, safety goggles, and welding helmets like butter. I do not recommend using this part and if you do, treat your grinder like there is no guard at all (which is not smart). Furthermore, do not use a 6" wheel on a 4.5" grinder.
