First "thing" shared. I made this to connect my DeWalt 779 miter saw to my DeWalt shop vac for dust collection. I'm an "occasional user" of the saw so I don't make too much dust. If I did I'd go with a better dust collection system but for my current needs sucking it into the shop vac is sufficient. The miter saw had a dust port just under 41.5mm (1-5/8") and the vac was just under 44.5 (~ 1-3/4), so I used those two measurements with a taper in between and it fits perfectly for me.
