Diadora Heel Pad

If you own a pair of Diadora cycling shoes, they come with replaceable heel pads that make walking so much easier. Eventually, they wear down, or if you're like me, they fall off and you lose them. Print a replacement set and save yourself $15-20. Be sure to read the instructions for tips. Instructions Print with a high infill for strength. I'd recommend ABS over PLA since it's possible that the first time you walk on hot asphalt you'll soften them with something like PLA that has a low melting point. Glue a small profile #10-32 nut into the recess with super glue and you're ready to go. For extra credit (and extra slip resistance) coat your new print in plasti-dip to give it a rubbery surface. If you really want them to be non-skid, after dipping, rest the pad on some sand and let everything dry.
