Diametric's Mini Quadcopter

A simple printed mini quadcopter frame. It features a press fit battery holder, receiver holder, and electronics IMU shield. I brought this with me to the Midwest RepRap Festival in March 2013 and several people asked for me to put it on Thingiverse, so here it is! Video of me flying it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtyVjCfmBUA This little guy has a lot of power. Also, Josef Prusa has personally flown one without crashing it. =) Instructions Bill of Materials located here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmDQJy-q2RCHdHkwNkF5bklFR2dmN1M4SFJzdkllT2c#gid=0 I neglected to include a few simple things in the BoM, such as tie wraps and jumper wires for the electronics. The motors and electronic speed controllers (ESCs) also require soldering. They come with pre-tinned bare wires. I recommend removing the 3 phase motor wires from the ESC and soldering bullet connectors onto the connectors, reinforcing them with hot glue and covering it in a large piece of heat shrink. One thing to note, the flight controller/IMU board you affix to this should not be bolted down to the base. The holes on the base are for bolting the battery holder, not the flight controller. You should affix the flight controller with strong double sided tape, possibly sandwiched around a piece of sorbothane if you have vibration issues. You want to minimize the amount of contact to the IMU as possible to reduce noise issues from the motor vibrations. Properly balancing your props will also help with this.
