Diamond Lattice

Diamond Lattice

thingiverse

This is a model of a carbon diamond lattice. It is modified from [pmoews](https://www.thingiverse.com/pmoews)' excellent model. Changes include: * Added scale function to the SCAD file to scale lattice to the correct size. * Increased resolution for smoother and rounder output; this also has the effect of thickening the bonds and atoms. * Removed (commented out) single bonds on the edges. These are fragile and kept breaking off for me when printing in plaster binder jetting. All atoms now have at least 2 bonds to the surrounding atoms. Another advantage of removing the single bonds is that the model can now stand on a corner, creating a more visually interesting model. Model was printed on a Z Corp ZPrinter 450 in plaster-based powder and infiltrated with pigmented epoxy.
