Dice Box + Miniature Storage

Dice Box + Miniature Storage

thingiverse

This Dice Box is meant to store a standard dice set, an extra die (such as a D20), and a miniature. It can be opened by simply pressing the button and opening the box. My goal was to have a dice box that did not require magnets, superglue, and supports. This dice box achieves that goal. A great part about this box is that both sides of it are 3mm thick. An svg could be used to sink an image into both sides. There is plenty of space for stickers, art, and signatures. <hr> Print all of the parts in the orientations shown in the parts picture. (Do not use supports!) Once printed and cleaned up, assemble with the following steps... 1: Combine the top and bottom by inserting a 1.75 piece of filament into the hinge. This is easiest done with the box closed. 2: Insert the button into the cavity. It is important to clean out any sloppy bridging that occured in the cavity. 3: Insert the latch hook, hook side towards the front, through the button and into the hole immediately below it. 4: Test close and sand/adjust the latch hook as needed so it will latch snuggly. If the latch hook pulls out easily, you can roughen-up the buttom section with a little sanding to increase the friction or put a small bit of glue into the hole it goes in. There is a little open area at the bottom that the glue can overflow to if need be.
