Dice Box

Dice Box

I crafted this custom dice box because none of the existing ones met my expectations. It holds up to ten dice and a miniature figurine in perfect harmony. A clever sliding mechanism on top secures both items firmly in place, preventing them from escaping during travel or transport. I opted for 7mm-3mm rare earth magnets to seal the lid, as I prefer a secure closure over traditional locks. These extra-strong magnets offer peace of mind, knowing my dice are safe and sound. The box was printed with Hatch Box Wood filament at an ultra-fine 0.2 resolution and a gentle speed setting. To give it a smooth finish, I sanded the surface first with 120 grit sandpaper and then refined it with 220 grit. A coat of regular wood stain added warmth to the design, while a matte clear spray sealant protected it from scratches. Finally, I carefully trimmed small pieces of felt to line the bottom for a comfortable fit.
